I was delighted to receive the announcement of your ground breaking for the proposed “Permanent Supportive Housing.” I would love to celebrate with you on Nov. 19, and be your first volunteer, thereafter, to assist you in initiating the sequential developmental steps that will make this occasion and “managed services" truly ground breaking on so many additional levels.
We make ideal collaborators, since, as you can see, as you review the 4 critical sequential steps of development, as applied to the homeless in the attached summary, your proposal is exactly in the organic, evolutionary vision and practical application plan of Bay to Bay Services. The initial inspiration for this plan came from the research, culling and development of decades of pioneers implementing educational/developmental principles that were generated decades earlier, plus confirmations from current, recycled and recovered homeless individuals. Since then, the vision and inspiration have been evolving into practical guidelines that can only be proven through consultation, implementation, process and tweaking with a visionary leader and institution that is willing to step out of the box, innovate and make a real long term difference in the lives of the once, and never again, homeless. Only then will the chronic, community dis-ease of homelessness be truly healed with residual immunity, and not just treated with short sighted, short lived, symptom relieving, expensive bandaids. I believe you are that leader and Pinellas Hope is that institution that will be the crucible for meaningful and long term change.
The finest gems lack brilliance until they commit to the nitty gritty, for the full duration, and through all the sequential stages of refinement. All the inspiration in the world is only the base line of success. It’s the commitment to the process that creates the desired results.
