This program is designed to help families and educators (authority figures) assist their (children/students/charges) to take responsibility for their, often out of control, behavior choices and implement the tools and communication skills that can nurture more responsible behaviors and choices. The program can been seen in detail on vitaltransformation.com and discussed through phone contact at: 800-406-2461! !
I have spoken at length with representatives regarding the appropriate use of this
program by trained volunteers and staff in either a homeless shelter, or in a service facility that is providing refuge and services to the street homeless. Vital Transformation feels it would be very fruitful, for it focusses on assisting the under-skilled, of any age, to formulate and improve communication and coping skills, taking responsibility for their own choices and actions without negotiating. The trained volunteer, or staff member, models certain responses to inappropriate
behavior as instructed in seven lessons. These skills help redress the attitudes of:
1. entitlement & cursing.
2.disrespect talking back.
3. accountability setting boundaries, and more.!
Improved results could be achieved with weekly meetings where volunteers and staff could review and discuss personal experiences and incidences with their homeless/refuge resident interactions. They could build on and improve those by referring to sample narratives provided in the program, and/or calling the Total Transformation on-going Professional Support Line from 9am-10pm, M-F. !
Currently, Vital Transformation is offering additional options to secure this program.
First, the cost of $357 + $19.99 s/h may be broken down into three payments, pending
credit approval. Next, they are offering the program for free, to those who are willing to participate in a survey, giving them helpful feedback on the responses to each of the seven lessons. The only cost would be the $19.99 s/h, and postage to return the survey after each lesson. The lessons arrive in 3-10 business days, and training can start immediately which includes FREE PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT phone calls for 30 days from the receipt of their first returned survey. This professional support service can be continued as long as wished, for $49/month.
The seven lessons in the program, and seven phases of this survey response
(1) Why do (they) act this way ?
(2) Why won’t (they) listen to (the authority figure) ?
(3) The parenting/role modeling that leads to accountability.
(4) Transformation Tools
(5) Understanding Faulty Thinking (6) What to do after acting out. (7) How to stop acting out before it begins. ! !
This program empowers community spirited individuals and organizations to provide professional behavior management opportunities to the homeless, in their daily relationship encounters. These training meetings could be facilitated by a volunteer).
Other behavior modification suggestions are addressed in other documents, at this time. They will be soon added to this chapter.
